Hyaluronic acid (HA) is a component originally existing in the skin. It is a wetting agent that exists in the epidermis to help the skin absorb water from the deep layer. Hyaluronic acid does not replenish water itself, but uses the characteristics that can absorb up to 1000 times of its own weight to help water absorption.
